Begin with traceability
A useful public dataset would connect each result to a sample identifier, collection date, process version and material. Those fields would help readers distinguish historical findings from later production. The proposal does not assume that every such field can be disclosed without a separate confidentiality review.
Make the method visible
The analyte list, extraction method, reporting limits and quality-control information should be explained. If a result is excluded or qualified, readers need to know why. A summary percentage can be useful, but it cannot replace the details needed to assess whether the comparison uses consistent conditions.
State the limits
Where records remain disputed, the publication should identify the category of information it has not seen. Inhance’s complaint and the later record-completion opinion illustrate a live distinction between arguments about access and conclusions about the data. A demand for transparency should not pretend to know what unavailable records contain.
